Happy Friday!

Today I have a brand new colorful kit that is perfect for all the girls AND boys in your life! Currently is perfect for capturing all those little moments that mean so much, right here, right now.

Currently is filled with lots of fun elements, including a ton of wordy bits that help you capture all those little details like favorite food, what they are watching, reading, doing, etc. I know I always love to look back and see what my kids were into at different ages and this kit will help you do just that. It’s also versatile to use for all sorts of other layouts too as you’ll see from my team. šŸ™‚ Here are some of their gorgeous layouts:

You can see their layouts up close in the PBP gallery right here. Be sure to post your layouts too! I always LOVE to see what people do with my products. šŸ™‚

Currently is on sale for 20% off in my Pickleberrypop shop through Sunday. Check it out right here.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

Making Art

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of art journaling and mixed media art, but it’s only recently that I decided to give it a try myself. I’ve been taking some classes here and there and just playing around a bit. Here is the very first canvas I created recently. I hesitate to post it, because a.) I am a beginner and b.) I’m not sure if it’s finished yet! LOL (photos are straight from my phone, so pardon the quality.)

First, here’s a quick shot of my workspace:

It’s in the basement and pretty dark. šŸ˜‰

Here’s a shot I shared on Facebook after I completed the first layer or so:

And the finished (?) piece:

It’s looking pretty dark on here so hard to tell. Here’s a side shot.

I’m thinking I may need to break out my regular camera. But at least this gives you an idea. Here are a couple of in-process pieces I’ve started. Not sure what I am going to do with them yet.

Again, I’m so new to this but I am having fun playing. And who knows? Maybe something will make it into my designs at some point. šŸ˜‰

I’m looking forward to delving into making an actual art journal soon and probably filling it with some inspirational quotes. I plan on sharing on this blog, so if you’re interested, please feel free to comment. I’d also love to hear from those of you who may do this already or, like me, are complete beginners!

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. I have a Pinterest board I started for collection some inspiration. If you’d like to check it out, it’s right here. If you have one, let me know!
